Somebody told me that you guys don't like saturated colors, but I said "you're lying, lots of folks like saturated colors".

Blessed Be This Odd Prayer
Even just a modest amount of perusing the new grounds at Gnartoons.com would have led you to this treasure. But, just in case you we're unsure about clicking the button marked "nobody is quite sure what will happen if you click this button", I give you this odd prayer. It's a lot bigger and more fun to look at -> HERE.
This comic is like a big bowl of Fruity Pebbles cereal after a long night of hard drinking - it's deliciously saturated with more colors than exist in the light spectrum or could ever be processed with a human's digestive tract. But you know it will taste good, however you also know that the force of it's terror will churn in your subconscious until your creative energies erupt a volcanic sea of metaphoric Post brand cereal.
Amen.

The Royal Squid Press
Hear Thee, Hear Thee!
The Royal Squid Press, the newly formed printing branch of Gnartoons, is officially off the ground! I have completely converted my studio apartment into a DIY (ahem, excuse me, I mean *professional*) printing press. I've been busy carving linoleum/wood/rubber by hand in order to print book covers uniquely and authentically. After being pressed, the cover of each book is signed and numbered and then hangs to dry from a tangled web of strings that stretches from wall to wall across my apartment. The result of using strings that stretch across my ceiling rather than using a drying rack is a floating canopy of fluorescent comic-cover-clouds that hang above my bed and drawing table, which I aesthetically enjoy with great immensity.
The first release from Royal Squid Press will be available for purchase in June at independent book shops throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and online at Gnartoons.com. Further information will be posted right here on this very blog and also on the Gnartoons facebook page.

Bring Momma Some More Dead Ones
I drew this comic while I was living in a different apartment in Berkeley, one which had a lot of ants. But I moved, and now my candy and sugary cereals are safe from their tormented Queen's selfish desires and haphazardly planned invasions, thank heavens.
