Moving to Seattle!!!

I've had a great time in the Bay Area for the past 4 years and I will definitely be missing Oakland, San Francisco and Berkeley. But I am super excited to get back to the Northwest, which I've been missing ever since I ended my 5 year stint in Eugene back in 2008. Get ready Seattle, here I come!

I still have a small pile of 'San Francisco Bay Comics' that have never been published anywhere, which I will either be running on here or Uptown Almanac in the coming weeks/months. Until then, please enjoy these SF Bay Comics that you have probably already read.

Tinkle Sprinkle

The Uptown Almanac is one of my favorite San Francisco blogs, and it's not just because they're pushin' my toons.

I spent two days drinking coffee at a cafe up the hill from the building pictured in the main panel in order to draw this comic.

"Art Walk" or "When Titles Get Lazy"

Brand new Gnartoons! The theme for this week's Free Fridayz contest on Fecalface.com is "Art Walk". In the past week I've been inking a ton of "San Francisco Bay Comics" - and having just meandered the Lower Haight Art Walk in San Francisco, I took the opportunity to bust out an extra SFBay Comic this week for the fecal contest and for you guys to gander upon.

Dolores Parked

I drew this quick lil' sketch of Dolores Park before the art walk in the Lower Haight on Friday.

Haight Street Commerce

I've been posting a lot of oooooold comics up here on the blahg because I've been working up a bulk of work that I would like to have published in other places before it gets all used up on here. One of the projects I've been working on this Winter has been an epic series of "San Francisco Bay Comics" that will hopefully start showing up in a few familiar places around Northern California in the near future. If you've been following my blog you probably know that I infrequently draw up something for Fecal Face Dot Com's Free Fridayz drawing contest. Well they went with a Haight St. theme this week and I couldn't resist taking the opportunity to bust out a SF Bay Comic about the Upper Haight. SO, here's a taste of what you can expect from the next batch of Gnartoons.

Being Sketchy in San Francisco

Well, as predicted, Piano Fight delivers with another hilarious production AND I crashed on my Friends Kevin and Alyse's floor again, leaving me with an entire Saturday to meander up, down and through San Francisco. I walked and walked and walked and found a few nice spots to draw while I was in Russian Hill. I was sitting on the sidewalk though, so there was a limit to how long I could draw before:

a) my back and booty started aching and
b) residents started looking out their windows at me suspiciously

...At least, that's the excuse I'm going with for why these drawings aren't finished. The truth is, I'm sharing my secret sketchbook pages with you, never meant for human eyes, the hand-drawn equivalent of words I might whisper to a dog...
