I'm about to frolic and trudge through the Northern Michigan tundra for the next several moments. I plan on feeling cold things crunch under my boots during the aforementioned frolic/trudge. Snrmphk is doing none of the above in the following cartoon, but seems to enjoy himself just the same. Have a good weekend everybody!

Slippery, Slippery Dolphins
You may feel that you're getting to know Snrmphk a little fast, but that's ok, you're on the accelerated program. Our friend Snrmphk has a fascination with dolphins and keeps one as a pet in a hole full of tap-water and table-salt in the floor of his Nevadan trailer. It's a joke PETA, lighten up.

You Savages!
I drew this one all the way back in January of 2007. CRUMPETS! That was almost 4 years ago! I'm trying to think right now, and yah, I'm pretty sure that this is the most recent roman candle I've drawn. This comic was first published by the Oregon Voice and has shown up in a few other zines/anthologies over the years. Snrmphk has always been a popular guy... Alright, I'm going to go draw a picture of some animals in the midst of a roman candle fight now, though I don't know why I bother, the lobster always wins.

A Week of the Snrmphk
Well oh boy! Look at that! It's my old friend Snrmphk the Slob, out on one of his desert adventures. And come to think of it, Snrmphk hasn't even shown up on the new blog at all yet. And so, I hereby declare this to be the week of the Snrmphk! I'll be putting 'Snrmphk the Slob' comics up here all week. All of the comics I'm going to post in this series are old and might be covered in dust and cobwebs from being tucked away in the Gnartoons crawl-space. But just like most things one finds in a crawl-space, these cartoons will have an odd smell about them that you really just can't ignore.

Elf Liberation Front
The Holidays are here people, and yes, that's why retailers have been feeding off of your self-guilt in order to sell you poorly manufactured products for friends and family who don't need more stuff and would probably never buy the crap for themselves anyway. Very few of us will come out of the next few weeks without a bunch of stuff that we don't want. And at what cost? Hmmmmmm? Do you know who makes all of this plastic junk? Why it's all made by polar-elves of course! And if you are unaware of the seasonal threat of polar-elf abuse, you owe it to yourself and the elves to do some research and become educated. For example, I recently learned that "Jolly" is derived from the ancient Elfish word "Jawly", which translates roughly to "Big red evil man with sharp teeth and whips, he who speaks hohoho".
I drew this page up for Fecalface.com's Free Fridayz drawing contest, it should be up on their website at the end of the week. You can sign into your facebook or twitter to vote for me in the comments if you feel I deserve the win, but I would honestly prefer that you spend that time doing something for the elves (write a letter to your senator about sponsoring the Elf Liberation Front or put together a care package of nettles and pinecones, etc).
Happy Holidays

Mrs. O'Fratchel's Prize Winning Poodles
Spoiler Alert, this comic has already been spoiled. Here we find a comic that I drew hundreds of days ago, one that I think deserves a second glance. I mean, you're just trying to find something to occupy some of your surplus personal-time right? Right. So here are some puppy dog eyes to stare into.

Berkeley Likes It When You Notice Her Sidewalk Cracks
I sat outside and had a muffin on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley the other day and drew these trash cans on the curb. I tried to copy the tags off the cans, 'Doja One' and 'KTW' are oficially "all-city" now... or "all-blog" or... "all-sketchbook" or... something...
